There are a lot of birthday parties recently. This past weekend, Melissa was invited to another birthday party from his classmate, Charles. There were a lot of kids at the party, and I started noticing that Melissa seemed to play with girls most of the times. Little boys are very rough sometimes, and I don't think Melissa likes playing that way. Melissa had a wonderful time with her friends, and Mommy & Daddy also enjoyed meeting Melissa's classmates' parents. We discovered that quite a few of them live close by, and we are excited that we can have play dates on the weekends.

Special Video

We had a special video for our cousin, Chun-Kai. He is getting married on October 9, and we are so happy for him. Congratulations, Chun-Kai. We really look forward to going to his wedding in Taipei.

Rita's Baby Shower

This past weekend, we went to Mommy's cousin, Rita's baby shower in Dublin. Rita and her husband, Matt already decided to name their baby Gabriel. Melissa had a lot of fun playing with Rita's dogs, Puffer and Dot. Melissa also kept asking Auntie Rita to read stories to her. I am sure that Melissa can't wait to play with her little cousin, Gabriel. Welcome to parenthood, Rita and Matt.

Trip to Lake Tahoe

Melissa went to Lake Tahoe with Mommy, Daddy, Ah-yi, Ah-Ma, and Ah-Gon this past weekend. Some highlights of the trip include:

  • Stopping by outlet mall where mommy picked up some coach bags
  • Rental vacation house that had a playroom
  • Boat cruise over lake tahoe
  • Stopping by the games area at Harrah's (Daddy was only there half the time as he went off and successfully recouped the cost of the trip)
  • Just generally enjoying time with family and the mountain/lake scenery
Here are some pictures and a video

Melissa's 3 Year Old Birthday Party

Last weekend, we celebrated Melissa's 3 year old birthday. We invited some friends and families, and the house was packed! The kids had so much fun together, and nobody wanted to go home. We prepared most of the food, and special thanks to Shu-Han for helping out preparing the food. Mommy also baked the Hello Kitty chocolate cake for the party. It's funny that at the end, Melissa and her friends wanted to help out cleaning. Check out some pictures from the party!
