Melissa Likes Real Swing!

Melissa tried out baby swing the first time in Ponderosa Park yesterday. She seemed to like it a lot as she laughed most of the times. However, we found out that if you push from her back, she got scared.

The girl sitting in the baby swing next to Melissa is only 2 days younger than Melissa. Melissa wants to touch her and play with her =P

Mommy also took Melissa to the slide, look we both had fun!

Melissa Crawling Tunnel!

Melissa tried to crawl tunnel at the playground in Valley Fair Mall. She is interested in going inside of the tunnel, but she always turns back half way through and tries to sit in the middle of tunnel. In fact, she is crawling pretty fast sometimes if she is focused. I am sure she will be able to crawl through the tunnel in no time! Here are some pictures below:
Melissa is excited when she sees the tunnel and can't wait to go inside.

Half way through now...

I am stuck, help, Mommy!!!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

May 19th was Daddy's 3X birthday. Happy Birthday, Daddy! We love you!

Melissa seems to be much more interested in the cake than Daddy. =P Did you see that Grandpa Timothy and Grandma Diane was trying to stop Melissa from grabbing the cake??

I Like Balls!

Melissa likes to play balls recently. She plays it with her hands and her feet. We wonder if she is going to be good at ball sports later on. Other than the times when she is sleeping, she is constantly busy playing toys or trying to crawl. What a busy girl!

Melissa's Major Milestone 7-8 Month

Here are some major milestones when Melissa is 7-8 month old:

• Finally roll over!
• Moves quickly from sit-up to crawling position and does lots of pre-crawling motions.
• Started to crawl backwards sometimes.
• Eat Cheerios now but doesn’t seem to like it that much.
• Very good with pureed food and spits out chunky food if not pureed well.
• Knows her name and look at people calling her name.
• Tries to speak a lot.
• Two teeth coming out (bottom front).
• Enjoys eating her own feet very much.
• Likes to be in ExerSaucer.
• Has been taking just 2 naps during the day (one in late morning and one in the afternoon).
• Begins to show “impatience” by screaming loudly (it has to be now or done quickly).
• First time using sippy cup but doesn’t quite know how to use it.
• Loves to go out to the park and watch other kids playing.
• Screams at middle of the night sometimes due to teething for about a week.
• Has stranger anxiety but warms up after a while.

Happy Mother's Day!

Today is Mother's Day, and Daddy did a lot of things special for me today. In the morning, when I came down to the kitchen, I smelled something wonderful. Daddy got up early before me and has already made yummy breakfast, egg and sausage bagel sandwich. He also made a huge pot of chicken curry.

Additionally, Daddy made a very special card (on behalf of Melissa) for me. It's like a story book speaking from Melissa's tone with a lot of pictures. I was very touched! Thank you, Daddy!

Melissa wants to say Happy Mother's Day to Grandma Alice and Grandma Diane, too! Thank you for all your love and support, and thanks for always being there for us!

Aunt Sally Visited Us!

Aunt Sally visited us last weekend to take care of her car insurance and paperwork. She is moving to live with us for a year starting in June because she will be doing her transitional year at Santa Clara Valley Hospital. We are so excited!

Melissa had a lot of fun hanging out with Aunt Sally, of course. Thanks for babysitting Melissa, Aunt Sally! See the happy couple in the pictures. By the way, for some kind of weird reasons, Melissa ALWAYS wakes up in the middle of the night the first day Aunt Sally leaves, but starts to sleep through after the second night. I wonder why...She can probably sense something is different around the house!
